Summary: Awarded to the in-house lawyer who has shown highest excellence beyond the expectations of their role and demonstrated added value to their organisation.
Eligibility: In-house lawyers with a minimum of three years of their in-house legal career (excluding general counsel, government and NFP lawyers).
Judging Criteria
- Demonstrated excellence in the provision of legal services and the management of legal resources - preferably supported by senior management.
- Provision of outstanding leadership or direction in area/s of law or law-related management practised by in-house lawyers.
- Significant positive contribution to the development, enhancement, or success of their employer (for example, pro bono work or innovative practice measures).
- Demonstrated ability to develop knowledge of legal matters or law not previously practiced - or acknowledged thought leadership of a particular area of the law.
