The prevalence of anxiety, depression, and substance abuse within the legal profession is well known. South Carolina attorney Will Jordan personalizes the statistics by sharing his experience with anxiety and depression. Using a storytelling format, Will describes how he came to recognize his mental health struggles, how he tried (unsuccessfully) to cure them, and how, over the years, he has learned to cope with them. Will seeks to decrease the stigma around mental health issues in the legal profession and to provide encouragement and resources for lawyers suffering from anxiety, depression, or substance abuse.

Join us for the final of a 3-Part PPKM maturity discussion. We utilized the ACC Maturity Model Toolkit to develop a curriculum and facilitated open discussions to hear from our colleagues about their organizational initiatives to gain greater insights into advancing maturity in the areas of (i) Knowledge Management, (ii) Process & Project Management and (iii) Change Management.
Mastering the Change Management Curve
During this session we will cover the phases of change and how to effectively manage the change management curve. The collaborative discussion includes reviewing âDenial, Resistance, Exploration and Commitmentâ with the goal of understanding the broader context of how change occurs. We invite you to also take the ACC Change Management Value Challenge. The toolkit review will address the following topics:
· The pace of change
· How individuals react to change
· Adoption: Effectively moving from denial to commitment
· Change management preparation
· Roles and responsibilities
Concluding with a discussion of the ACC Value Challenge, participants will be able to take practical knowledge back to their organizations to promote and advance knowledge management in their legal functions. It promises to be an engaging discussion. We hope you can join us.
