What We Do

The Membership Committee, which is led by the ACC Chicago Membership Co-Directors, is responsible for recruiting and retaining ACC Chicago’s in-house attorney members.  This involves planning social events that are designed to increase engagement among ACC Chicago members and occasionally communicating with potential members. Generally, the Membership Committee has been responsible for the following:

•    Happy Hours – The Membership Committee hosts happy hours so members can unwind after work and get to know their fellow in-house colleagues in a laid back social setting.

•    GC/CLO Events –The Membership Committee hosts events geared toward the unique issues facing General Counsel and Chief Legal Officers of both smaller and large law departments.

•    Other Member Outreach – In order to recognize the contributions of our Chapter members, the Membership Committee highlights a “Member Spotlight” on our website.  Additionally, the committee reaches out periodically with member surveys and other communications to assess the needs of our diverse membership.

Membership Committee members are generally responsible for attending monthly committee calls; attending and helping plan events hosted by the Membership Committee; attending other ACC Chicago events and actively promoting ACC Membership benefits.

Opportunities to Get Involved

The Membership Committee is always seeking additional volunteers to serve on the committee and help increase member engagement.
