What We Do
The Pro Bono Committee, which reports to the ACC Chicago Community Director, provides legal pro bono service opportunities for ACC Chicago members. The Committee is responsible for coordinating 1-3 formal pro bono events for ACC Chicago members. Key past events have included:
- Spring “Clinic in a Box” half day non-profit advisory clinic
- Center for Disability and Elder Law – half day advisory clinic
The Committee is also responsible for vetting pro bono opportunities and communicating them to ACC Chicago members on the website and through a pro bono listserv, as well as promoting pro bono work and access to justice initiatives consistent with ACC Chicago’s mission.
Who We Are
The Pro Bono “Committee” is currently made up of one member at large and one Board member.
Opportunities to Get Involved
The Committee is considering the merits of growing this year and will likely need additional members.
